About this opportunity

The Chugach National Forest is soliciting quotes for a 28-29 foot welded aluminum monohulled cabin cruiser boat package to operate safely across open ocean in Prince William Sound with winds up to 33 knots. The Forest Service requires the vessel maximize fuel efficiency for basic comfort while allowing shallow draft beach landings. Quotes are due February 2, 2021 and must meet USCG, ABYC, and Alaska DOT standards, including an outfitted hull, dinghy, outboards, and trailer. A pre-quote meeting was held January 21, 2021 with any questions due by January 28, 2021 via email.

This is a total small business set-aside with a place of performance in Girdwood, Anchorage, Alaska. The solicitation seeks one vessel between 28-29 feet long and 9-10.5 feet wide to operate for an unspecified budget. Amendments adjusted the required size of touchscreen chartplotter and clarified questions on drawings, safety gear, and trailer brakes.
