About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8, located in Orlando, Florida, is conducting market research to identify potential vendors capable of supplying an 875-950 Gallon Multi-Tank fuel trailer for the Orlando VA Healthcare System. The Sources Sought Notice outlines specific technical requirements for the trailer, including Department of Transportation compliance, a 40-50 gallon per minute gas-powered pump, a two-stage filter system, and a 100-115 gallon Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tank. Interested vendors must submit a qualifications letter by June 03, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, which should include company details, SAM UEI Number, socio-economic category, and a capability statement addressing the technical specifications. The evaluation will focus on vendors' ability to meet the precise technical requirements and provide evidence of past or current contracts for similar equipment. To be eligible, businesses must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and fall under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 336212 Truck Trailer Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,000 employees.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned. While the exact award value is not specified, the notice suggests this is a preliminary market research effort to gather information about potential suppliers. The trailer must be capable of holding 875-950 gallons of fuel, with additional capacity for 100-115 gallons of Diesel Exhaust Fluid, and include specific technical features such as a 50-foot auto-retracting reel and specific quick connect/disconnect specifications. Vendors are encouraged to provide comprehensive documentation demonstrating their capability to manufacture or supply the specialized fuel trailer, including details about their manufacturing capacity, technical expertise, and previous contract performance. The VA emphasizes that this is a Sources Sought Notice and does not obligate the government to award a contract, serving primarily as a method to assess the market and potential vendor capabilities.
