About this opportunity
The Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC), part of the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers, is seeking a comprehensive grounds maintenance contract for its main campus in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The solicitation (W912HZ25R0001) requires a contractor to provide all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials for grass mowing, edging, trimming, and related grounds maintenance services across multiple sites. Services include five different maintenance levels with specific mowing height and frequency requirements, flower bed maintenance, herbicide application, and leaf collection. The solicitation was originally posted on October 30, 2024, with proposals initially due on November 30, 2024, but an amendment extended the deadline to December 4, 2024. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for November 13, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. to provide potential contractors an opportunity to review the performance sites and understand the full scope of work.
The contract is set aside for small businesses and covers grounds maintenance services at the ERDC main campus and other Corps of Engineer sites, with a base period from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. The solicitation includes options for four additional one-year periods, potentially extending the contract through 2029. The scope encompasses maintenance of approximately 69 acres at the ERDC main site and 30 acres at the Big Black site, with additional services like flower bed maintenance (three times per year), leaf collection, and potential shrub and tree replacement. While specific award value is not explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the services suggests a significant contract opportunity for qualified landscaping service providers. The place of performance is Vicksburg, Mississippi, with all work to be conducted in strict accordance with the provided specifications, technical exhibits, and drawings.
