About this opportunity

The Department of State issued an advertisement for Architectural and Engineering services on June 23, 2026, closing July 6, 2026, to conduct a comprehensive structural assessment of stacked containers at U.S. Embassy Kuwait. The selected firm must perform a full survey of all structural, electrical, mechanical, and fire and life safety elements, including steel structural members, foundation systems, soil conditions, and connection details. Deliverables include detailed scaled as-built construction drawings of each building and all subsystems with connection details and an assessment report containing structural calculations validating code compliance and structural integrity. Selection will be based on relevant professional qualifications for projects valued at a minimum of KWD 100,000 within the past three years; specialized experience and technical competence; demonstrated success on similar projects including quality, schedule compliance, and cost controls; personnel capacity to meet required timeframes; knowledge of project locality; and current licensure as an Architect-Engineering firm in the State of Kuwait.
