About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Georgia Army National Guard has awarded contract W50S7026PA005 on a sole-source basis for hardline phone service to the 165 Air Wing, effective June 29, 2026.
The sole-source justification cites 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), on the basis that the identified provider is the only provider in the area capable of supporting all telecommunications requirements with the necessary copper and fiber connectivity infrastructure to the wing's communications building. The requirement encompasses all labor, tools, facilities, materials, and services to provide local access to designated circuit demarcation points, including equipment, wiring, and infrastructure modifications to ensure the contractor's solution is compatible with government systems without additional government expense. Services include operator assistance functions and must comply with FCC, PUC, DoD, Air Force, and industry standards.
The 165 Materiel Support Center is the contracting activity, with the 165 Air Wing as the requiring activity. The contract is structured as a new firm fixed-price operation and maintenance support award. The justification notes that enterprise-wide Air Force transition to Microsoft Teams is anticipated to end the requirement for hardline services within the contract period.
