About this opportunity

The U.S. Coast Guard seeks procurement of a 150kW mobile diesel generator unit configuration for USCG Base Kodiak, Kodiak, Alaska, with proposals due September 8, 2026. This is a full and open competition RFQ (20270PR260001702) under FAR Part 12 for commercial products, with no set-aside.

Place of performance is Kodiak, AK, with delivery to USCG Base Kodiak c/o Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska. The requirement specifies a Cummins 150kW/188kVA mobile diesel generator unit mounted on a dual-axle over-the-road trailer with a 275-gallon double-wall environmental containment fuel tank, Deep Sea Electronics GenSet 6110 digital controller, and voltage configurable from 120V to 600V in single-phase and 3-phase options. The unit must not exceed dimensions of 130" X 51.25" X 81" to support C-130 aircraft transport. The generator engine is brand-name Cummins (6CTA8.3-G2, EPA Tier 1 certified) due to interoperability with existing generators, spare parts inventory, tooling, and trained maintenance staff. Prior to shipment, the contractor must conduct Factory Acceptance Tests including structural inspections, dynamic safety shutdown verifications, and a certified Load Bank Test with documentation. Delivery of the entire configuration must occur within 90 days of award—a firm deadline due to weather conditions in the area. Offerors shall provide a firm fixed price inclusive of shipping. Evaluation is lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA). The NAICS code is 333611, Turbine and Turbine Generator Set Units Manufacturing. The PSC code is 2920, Engine Electrical System Components, Nonaircraft. Applicable standards include NEC/NFPA 70, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 8258, and UL2200.
