About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Headquarters District Washington, specifically the 11th Security Forces Squadron at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), has issued a Sole Source Justification Notice for a MAGOS Intruder Detection system with an estimated contract value of $222,310. The justification is for acquiring a state-of-the-art CCTV system that can operate on AFNET and meet specific defense installation security requirements, including perimeter protection, access control points, and waterfront/marina security. MAGOS is identified as the sole authorized Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) capable of supplying and maintaining the system, which must integrate with existing equipment under Contract# FA706022F0063 and the ADVANTOR alarm system. The contract, awarded as FA706024P0029, will expand JBAB's gate security capabilities, with MAGOS providing the detection system and associated equipment, and Inter Pacific handling the installation. Market research confirmed no alternative providers could meet the complex integration and CMD listing requirements, leading the Air Force to pursue this sole source procurement under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) procedures.
