About this opportunity
The National Institute on Aging and the Center for Alzheimer's and Related Dementias, procuring through the NIH Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations, seek 10x Genomics Single Cell Multiome kits and gene expression reagents with proposals due September 21, 2026. This is an unrestricted procurement with no set-aside.
Place of performance is Bethesda, Maryland. The contractor must deliver specific quantities of 10x Genomics products across two groups, including GEM-X Epi Multiome kits (1 unit, 16 samples), GEM-X Universal 3' Gene Expression v4 kits (7 total units, 48 samples each), GEM-X Flex v2 Human kit (1 unit, 384 samples), Chromium GEM-X Single Cell 3' Chip Kits (11 total units, 4 chips each), Dual Index Kit sets (TT Set A and TS Set A), GEM-X Flex Gel Bead & Library Kits (3 units), and associated accessories. All materials must arrive in immediately usable condition, properly packaged and labeled per government specifications with contract number and contractor name.
The specified products must support sample multiplexing up to 384 samples, compatibility with Chromium X and Chromium iX instruments, gel bead-in-emulsion technology for single-cell partitioning, cell-specific barcodes and unique molecular identifiers, Illumina-compatible sequencing library generation, and integration with 10x Genomics bioinformatics pipelines for demultiplexing, alignment, and data analysis. NAICS code is 541715, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences. PSC code is 6640, Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. The work supports molecular research on Parkinson's Disease, Dementia with Lewy bodies, and neurologically normal individuals to identify therapeutic targets.
Notice text
The National Institute on Aging (NIA) and the Center for Alzheimer's and Related Dementias (CARD) requires Single Cell Multiome kits to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disease with Lewy body pathology. CARD will use these reagents to study the molecular differences and similarities between Parkinson’s Disease, Dementia with Lewy bodies and neurologically normal individuals. This spatial analysis will allow us to see which parts of the brain are affected and examine how things are dysregulated in different diseases. This may contribute to identifying therapeutic genes and pathways that can be targeted to improve symptoms and disease states.
Please see the attached product description for a complete list of items required and the sailenent charecteristics required for each.
