About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is seeking to procure pump calibrators, specifically 18 dry piston pumps with an option to purchase up to 97 additional units. These calibration devices must be similar to the Mesa Labs Defender 510-M and meet stringent technical specifications, including measuring airflow between 50-5000 cubic centimeters per minute, weighing less than 3 pounds, and featuring rechargeable batteries with at least 4 hours of operation time. The contract will be awarded using a Firm Fixed-Price structure with Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation methodology, and the requirement is subject to the Buy American Act. The solicitation clarifies that bubble-type primary flow calibrators and certain TSI models (4143/4146) will not meet technical acceptability standards. Questions regarding the solicitation were due by 3:00 PM EST on August 26, 2025, with quotes due by 3:00 PM EST on September 2, 2025.

This procurement opportunity is set aside for Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) enterprises under NAICS code 334519 with a size standard of 600 employees, though the government description also references it as a Total Small Business set-aside. No current contractors or incumbents are specifically identified in the solicitation materials. While exact award values are not disclosed, the substantial quantity requirement of up to 115 total units suggests a significant procurement value for qualifying small businesses. The contract performance period runs from September 19, 2025, through September 18, 2026, with delivery required within 30 days after award. All equipment will be delivered to the OSHA Technical Center located in Sandy, Utah, and the successful vendor must provide comprehensive training, documentation, and repair support services to OSHA personnel.
