About this file
This is a Statement of Work for the Yomba Indian Reservation Irrigation Pipeline Material Acquisition project. The Western Nevada Agency of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is coordinating with the Yomba Shoshone Tribe and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to procure and deliver pipeline materials for an irrigation system that will restore reliable water conveyance to tribal agricultural users in central Nevada. The Yomba Shoshone Tribe operates historic ranches that depend on irrigation water from the Reese River; multiple flooding events have destroyed most diversion structures, leaving only one functional diversion currently supplying water.
The scope of work requires delivery of the following pipeline materials: 7,920 linear feet of 15-inch diameter 80 PSI rated plastic irrigation pipe, nine 15-inch diameter clover valves, and air vacuum relief valves. The materials must be delivered to the diversion site located approximately 6 miles south of Yomba Shoshone Tribal headquarters along Lone Road (NV-21) at coordinates 38.90680° latitude and -117.491740° longitude. Delivery must be scheduled between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The pipeline will be installed in accordance with NRCS designs and standards, which require installation of air vacuum relief valves and concrete thrust blocks at prescribed locations. The BIA Western Nevada Agency Natural Resources Officer will manage, supervise, and inspect the pipeline installation.

Yomba Indian Reservation Irrigation Pipeline Material Acquisition
Statement of Work
I. Purpose The Western Nevada Agency, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is coordinating with the Yoma Shoshone Tribe (Tribe) and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to install a pipeline for the benefit of multiple members of the Tribe. The pipeline was designed by the NRCS to provide consistent and efficient water conveyance to support Tribal agricultural activities. The materials needed to complete the project are needed.
II. Background The Yomba Shoshone Tribe operates historic ranches in central Nevada that rely on irrigation water diverted from the Reese River. Multiple flooding events have destroyed most diversion structures, leaving only one functional diversion currently supplying water.
To restore the reliable delivery of irrigation water to tribal members downstream, the Tribe partnered with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to design a pipeline that conveys water from the remaining functioning diversion to multiple agricultural users.
III. Scope of Work This project involves the delivery of pipeline materials necessary to construct the NRCS designed pipeline. These pipeline materials include:
1. 7920 linear feet of 15-inch diameter 80 PSI rated Plastic Irrigation Pipe.
2. Nine 15-inch diameter clover valves.
3. Air vacuum relief valves.
The pipeline will be installed in accordance with the NRCS designs and standards, which requires the installation of air vacuum relief valves and concrete thrust blocks in prescribed locations.
Delivery of Materials: Delivery of materials must be scheduled between the hours of 8 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Materials are to be delivered to the diversion site located approximately 6 miles south of Yomba Shoshone Tribal headquarters, along Lone Road (NV-21). The Tribal headquarters is located near the intersections of Lone Road and Nevada State Highway 844. The diversion site has approximate latitude and longitude coordinates of 38.90680˚ and -117.491740˚ respectively.
IV. Government Responsibilities The BIA Western Nevada Agency Natural Resources Officer will manage, supervise, and inspect pipeline installation.
