About this file
This document is a solicitation from Orange County, Florida for a heavy equipment simulator, specifically targeting the CMLABS simulator as the sole provider meeting their training requirements. The county seeks a comprehensive simulator system for training new and existing employees on operating skills, with a detailed specification for an integrated, offline system capable of simulating operation of over 17 different types of heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, trucks, and specialized vehicles. The solicitation requires a package that includes a simulator, motion base, instructor and drone view stations, five fifty-inch screens, and the ability to conduct cooperative crew training exercises. Vendors are invited to determine their eligibility by contacting Tiffany Fulse via email, with the information available for review until 4:00 PM EST on July 23, 2024.
The simulator must be an all-integrated system that works without connecting to the Orange County network, with the ability to expand training capabilities across multiple equipment types. Key technical requirements include a motion base that reproduces equipment movement sensations, drone views above and below ground, and comprehensive operator control packages. The vendor will provide unlimited technical support, customer portal access, hardware warranty, software updates, and a computer system upgrade after three consecutive years of annual maintenance and support. The county's research indicates that CMLABS is uniquely positioned to meet all the specified requirements for this training technology investment.
