About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Orange County Florida Procurement Division for Switchgear Equipment Preventative Maintenance and Repairs (RFI #Y22-605-KS). The RFI seeks to gauge interest and collect information from firms capable of providing preventative maintenance and repair services for medium and high voltage switchgear equipment at multiple Orange County facilities, including the Orange County Courthouse and Corrections Department complex. Electronic submissions will be accepted through the OpenGov Procurement portal until 4:00 PM local time on Thursday, April 7, 2022. The document requests detailed information about vendors' capabilities across various areas, including maintenance of switchgear equipment ranging from 480 Volt through 15 Kvolts, parts and repair services, installation of new electrical fixtures and systems, equipment installation/demolition, backup generator provisions, and emergency service response times.
The RFI specifically requires respondents to provide comprehensive details about their technical capabilities, industry safety standards compliance, and service methodologies without disclosing actual customer pricing. Potential vendors must complete a response form indicating their organizational type, contact information, and whether they are an Orange County Certified Minority business. The document emphasizes that this is an information-gathering exercise only, with NO services being purchased at this stage. Respondents are encouraged to submit detailed information about their capabilities for maintaining equipment such as main switchboards, automatic and manual transfer switches, motor starters, motor control centers, power circuit breakers, vacuum breakers, protective relays, and transformers.
