Hangar doors

N/A. Hangar doors are generally custom-sized

/ custom-designed to the project, so no approval number exists. FBC 1709.5.3 (2023) permits the engineering for such custom fabrications.

The existing bi-folding hangar doors were provided by

Schweiss Doors. Sealed engineer's shop drawings for the replacement doors will be provided by Schweiss (or approved equal) to meet the current wind load requirements.

These product approval numbers are not intended to limit acceptable manufacturers, but rather to establish a basis of design. In order to be considered as an acceptable equivalent, the system/component must be designed to resist similar wind speeds and pressures. Depending on actual product selected by Contractor, sub-components and installation may vary.
