About this file
This document contains responses to contractor questions regarding a request for proposals for cured-in-place pipe lining on the Wyman Ave water main in Norfolk, Virginia. The solicitation is issued by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command for water main repair work. The contractor questions and government responses provide clarification on the cured-in-place pipe lining specifications, allowing inversion installation, pre-impregnation of liner material at a contractor's facility subject to government inspection, and internal mechanical end seals to seal liner extremities. Hot air or steam curing will not be permitted during installation.
