About this file

This is a pre-bid conference summary document prepared for the Wye Island Duck House Renovations project, a state and local contract opportunity issued by Maryland. The project entails exterior renovation and wood paneling replacement work at the Wye Island Duck Lodge located at 632 Wye Island Road, Queenstown, Queen Anne's County, Maryland. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and insurance necessary to complete the work. The pre-bid conference was held on February 4, 2026, to allow prospective bidders to review project requirements, ask questions, and gather site-specific information prior to submitting bids. Attendees had the opportunity to tour the project site and clarify details with the issuing agency representatives.

The summary document includes details regarding bidder attendance, questions raised during the conference, and clarifications provided by the agency concerning project scope, specifications, and bid requirements. Key topics addressed likely covered site conditions, material specifications, work schedules, insurance and bonding requirements, and other contractual obligations. This pre-bid conference format is standard practice to ensure prospective bidders have equal access to project information and to minimize bid protests resulting from misunderstandings about project scope or conditions.
