About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the replacement of a non-functioning Heatcraft PTN128H2C refrigeration unit with a new split system at Building 330 for the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command. The comprehensive scope of work includes seven primary tasks: (1) initial site visit and assessment to evaluate current setup and confirm box dimensions, (2) procurement of a compatible replacement refrigeration unit meeting temperature and specification requirements, (3) preparation involving safe disconnection and removal of the existing unit, (4) installation of the new split system with proper connections to existing infrastructure, (5) system testing and charging according to manufacturer specifications, (6) final verification of system functionality and safety standards, and (7) comprehensive documentation of the entire installation process.

The solicitation (F2Q4015099AW01) requires a contractor to provide all necessary parts, labor, tools, materials, facilities, and transportation for the refrigeration unit replacement. The project emphasizes ensuring proper operation and compatibility with the existing setup, with specific attention to technical details such as connecting duct, drain, refrigerant, and electrical lines. Notably, the documentation requirements include a final report confirming successful replacement, and there are considerations about post-installation maintenance, with the suggestion that service calls may be required for future issues rather than in-house maintenance.

3 MARCH 2025

I. Scope of Work The vendor shall provide in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, laws, and ordinances, to provide the service listed in the statement of work. Selected vendor must be certified / qualified to perform ALL test listed in the statement of work.

Statement of Work The vendor will be required to provide all necessary labor and materials to complete the follow:

Objective: To replace the existing non-functioning Heatcraft PTN128H2C refrigeration unit with a new split system, ensuring proper operation and compatibility with the existing setup. Comment by Smith, Jaime R SSgt USAF DHA 633RD MDG (USA): I would add dimensions the box needs to fit into, if it is specific. Or current box dim. Comment by Price, Rachel M TSgt USAF 633 MDG (USA): I have the dimensions available, I could put these in. But my intention was for someone to do initial site visit to look at what we currently have so they could best figure out what new item should be procured. That is the first item listed in “SOW” items

1. Initial Site Visit and Assessment:

· Conduct a thorough site assessment to evaluate the current setup and identify any potential challenges.

· Confirm the box dimensions to ensure compatibility with the new split system.

2. Equipment Procurement:

· Procure a new split system refrigeration unit to replace the discontinued Heatcraft PTN128H2C unit.

· Ensure that the new system meets all necessary specifications and requirements for the site. Comment by Smith, Jaime R SSgt USAF DHA 633RD MDG (USA): What are the necessary specs? Comment by Price, Rachel M TSgt USAF 633 MDG (USA): See the point below for a potential change.

· Ensure that the new system will meet necessary requirements for needed temperature levels for walk in fridge.

3. Preparation:

· Disconnect and safely remove the existing Heatcraft PTN128H2C refrigeration unit.

· Prepare the site for the installation of the new split system, including any necessary modifications to the existing infrastructure. Comment by Smith, Jaime R SSgt USAF DHA 633RD MDG (USA): Would this be modifications found during install? Could these be identified during a site visit? If so, we should add in a site visit section to include all things that would be needed for that Comment by Price, Rachel M TSgt USAF 633 MDG (USA): That is what I figured woiuld be the easiest plan. Comment by Price, Rachel M TSgt USAF 633 MDG (USA): These would be items that would be identified during a site visit or assessment. That is line one.

4. Installation:

· Install the new split system refrigeration unit, ensuring all components are properly connected and secured.

· Connect the new system to existing duct connections, drain lines, refrigerant lines, and electrical connections as needed.

5. System Testing:

· Pressure test the new system and charge it according to the manufacturer's specifications.

· Start, test, and ensure proper operation of the new split system.

6. Final Verification:

· Confirm that the new system is functioning correctly and efficiently.

· Verify that all connections and components are secure and meet safety standards.

7. Documentation:

· Provide detailed documentation of the installation process, including any modifications made to the existing setup.

· Include a final report confirming the successful replacement and operation of the new split system. Comment by Smith, Jaime R SSgt USAF DHA 633RD MDG (USA): Will the BMETs be able to maintain after install is complete Comment by Price, Rachel M TSgt USAF 633 MDG (USA): There is very little things that we would be able to do to maintain the item. More than likely we would need to havce someone come out and look at for a service call. I guess we could ask for a certain time length of warranty period.

Like whatever item they purchase to put in, the install company will be the ones we contact for issues about the failure.
