About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support for wood products to be delivered to customers in 16 locations across the West Region, including states like Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, and international locations such as Guam, Japan, and Korea. The government intends to issue a 100% Small Business Set Aside solicitation under the Wood Products Tailored Logistics Support Program (TLSP), with pricing based on truckload quantities and all orders to be FOB Destination.
The RFI seeks detailed market research from potential vendors regarding their capability to supply 23 different wood product line items, including various lumber types (softwood and hardwood), plywood sheets, scaffold planks, and line construction poles. The document requests information on current distribution capabilities, customer base, potential challenges in obtaining/distributing products, infrastructure requirements, lead times, truckload quantities, and minimum order quantities. Responses are due by December 12, 2025, with a potential presolicitation conference via Microsoft Teams planned for March 2026. The estimated annual demand for products ranges from 6 to 467,917 board feet or sheets, depending on the specific item.

10. Surge and Sustainment is defined as increased quantities and/or accelerated delivery rates required to meet the Services’ requirements across a broad spectrum of contingencies. The increased quantity and accelerated delivery rate are above and beyond the normal peacetime requirements. For these items a surge quantity option would be considered (for example, 50% above normal demand).
Are there particular items (reference table page 6, Q#11), that would be difficult to provide a substantial increase in quantity combined with an accelerated delivery?
