WORK ORDER NUMBER 23417

CARPET with INSTALLATION FOR BUILDING 465

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

23 February 2018

1. The drawing does not show room numbers therefore dimensions can’t be taken. Can the room numbers be provided on the drawing or can the square footage and linear footage for each room be provided?

The drawing has room numbers listed if you click on the yellow boxes (notes icon), the six adjacent rooms southwest part of the drawing. As shown on the drawing, scale is 3/32” = 1’0”

2. Are we bound to use only the carpet selections listed in the Statement of Work?

Yes, there is a Mandatory Use Policy for Air Force Carpet Acquisitions which mandates carpet purchases effective October 1, 2017.

3. We were told by the Shaw representatives that the carpet listed in the Statement of Work requires a special backing that needs to be special ordered, which means special pricing and will not match the negotiated price. Please comment.

Please note this when completing your “Request for Quote - Revision 1” form and we will confirm with the supplier.

4. Do we need shock absorbing cushion?

Yes, as stated on page 4 of the Statement of Work, carpet should have shock absorbing cushion.
