About this file

This document is an Addendum for a Request for Bids (RFB) issued by the Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) for the W. J. Hooper WPP Above-Ground Storage Tank Reconditioning project. The RFB seeks bids from licensed contractors to perform reconditioning work on an above-ground storage tank located at the W.J. Hooper Water Production Plant in Morrow, Georgia. The bid opening date is Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. local time. A non-mandatory pre-bid virtual meeting will be held on June 20, 2024, and a mandatory site visit is scheduled for the same day at 3:00 p.m. CCWA encourages participation from small, local, minority, and women-owned businesses.

The Addendum provides responses to 29 questions submitted by potential bidders, covering topics such as access to utilities, work scheduling, tank inspection history, and contractor licensing requirements. It also includes a plan holder's list and a sign-in sheet from the mandatory site visit. The Addendum does not disclose an estimated construction budget or bid price, indicating this information is currently unavailable. CCWA states that any unforeseen work elements encountered during the project, such as lead abatement, will require a cost proposal from the selected contractor.
