Statement of Work Quarry Exhibit Hall and Quarry Visitor Center Window Cleaning Dinosaur National Monument
General Information
Dinosaur National Monument located in Jensen, Utah :Quarry Exhibit Hall and Quarry Visitors Center are located on the Utah side of the monument. These buildings are located approximately 2 miles past the end of State Hwy. 149, approximately 7 miles north of the intersection with U.S. Hwy. 40 in Jensen, UT. Jensen, UT is approximately 170 miles east of Salt Lake City, UT, and 133 miles north of Grand Junction, CO.

Requirement
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, and equipment and supplies to clean the windows and windowpane dividers and windowsills at the Quarry Exhibit Hall and at the Quarry Visitors Center.
• Clean the windows from both the inside and outside the building
• Remove all dirt, dust, debris, and cobwebs from the windows and windowpane dividers.
• The contractor will employ the use of environmentally safer cleaning products.
• Dinosaur National Monument will provide designated parking spaces for overnight parking of the contractor’s vehicles in the immediate vicinity of the Quarry Maintenance Yard in the Green River District of Dinosaur National Monument.
• Special care and consideration will be necessary to prevent any damage to fossil resources. Ladders, lifts, and scaffolding will not be able to be placed on the fossil wall in the Quarry Visitor Center to gain access to the windows for cleaning. See attached photos.
• The contractor shall adhere to OSHA Standards and Regulations regarding safe and effective window cleaning procedures, to include up to date inspections on any harnesses, rigging, and use of personal protective equipment and shall be available for inspection upon request by NPS personnel. Records of inspections must be kept in a binder on site and available to monument staff upon request.
• Contractor is required to submit proof of liability insurance and a safety plan including a fall safety and prevention plan, which shall be approved by the Contracting Officer prior to starting work. The contractor shall be responsible for providing a technical approach that meets OSHA standards.
Schedule:
Services are to be performed twice per year and are to be scheduled with park point of contact upon award within the following timeframes:
Fall cleaning services: September 1 to October 31 Spring cleaning services: April 1 to May 31
Location:
Quarry Exhibit Hall - Operating hours open to the public are 9:00AM-5:00PM Monday through Sunday.
Cleanings may take place within these operating hours.
Total Windowpanes 759
Quarry Visitor’s Center - Operating hours open to the public are 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Sunday. Window cleaning will not take place during these hours and will be scheduled either before opening or after closing to minimize impact to the public.
