About this file

McDuffie County has issued an Invitation to Bid for damage repairs related to Hurricane Helene at multiple county locations, including William Eubank Park, Government Center Complex, Vonteego Park, Pitt Street Park, and Big Hart Campground. The solicitation requires separate bids for each location, with bids due on September 17, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the McDuffie County Finance Department. Interested parties can obtain bid specifications through the county website (www.thomsonmcduffie.gov) or by contacting Lori Ducey at 706-597-2383. The specific scope for William Eubank Park involves removing and replacing a 4-foot high, 9-gauge chain link fence with posts and top rail, spanning 275 linear feet.

The county will award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, reserving the right to reject any or all bids and waive technicalities. Bidders are not required to submit bids for all locations to be considered. The procurement appears to be federally funded, likely through FEMA disaster recovery assistance, as indicated by the project numbers beginning with 202508FEMA. No specific budget or funding amount is disclosed in the document, and the solicitation does not mention any specific set-asides or incumbent contractors.
