About this file
This document is a Quick Quote issued by Collier County's Coastal Zone Management Division for the Wiggins Pass Navigation Light Deconstruction and Reconstruction project. The solicitation seeks a vendor to remove, fabricate, and replace the existing platform and ladder structure on a navigation piling located approximately 0.3 miles from the mouth of Wiggins Pass. The project involves three primary tasks: removing the current metal structure, fabricating a new stainless steel platform and ladder (10 ft x 10 ft), and installing the new structure with a solar-powered navigation beacon visible for three miles. The project was released on July 7, 2025, with a question submission deadline of July 17, 2025, at 5:00 PM and a response submission deadline of July 21, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The contract is intended to be a one-time purchase with firm pricing for the duration of the purchase order.
The pricing proposal includes three line items corresponding to the project tasks, with vendors required to provide unit costs for each. Vendors must also submit proof of E-Verify registration, State of Florida registration through Sunbiz, and a Certificate of Insurance. The project requires comprehensive insurance coverage, including employer's liability, commercial general liability, automobile liability, watercraft coverage, and maritime-specific insurances. The county will select the responsive vendor with the lowest quote, and the successful bidder must ensure that Collier County is named as an additional insured on the insurance certificate. The document emphasizes that no exceptions will be made to the county's purchase order terms and conditions, and all subcontractors must comply with the same insurance requirements.
