About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for electrical repairs on the USNS MERCY (T-AH 19), specifically addressing Item No. 0302 for troubleshooting and repairing the 1 MC Emergency Announcing System (CASREP 24022). The work is categorized as "Category A" and is to be performed at MSC-MAINT HUB San Diego in January 2025.
The SOW requires a qualified electrician to address a grounding fault within the control circuit of the ship's 1 MC emergency announcing system, which has resulted in burned power supplies and fuses. The system is currently offline and connects to all speakers onboard. The contractor must visually inspect, test, and verify system operation, make necessary repairs/adjustments, provide a condition report to the Port Engineer detailing findings and recommended parts/repairs, and verify proper operation of the EDG bus tie in the presence of the Chief Engineer and/or MSCREP. Additional parts and repairs will be handled through a CCO (Contract Change Order) as needed.
