QuestionTPOC Response
What dismounted and mounted reference systems are available for PNT?Reference systems are called out in the supporting documentation under the 'Reference Systems for Module Development' which has access control restrictions. Follow guidance written in the 'Access to additional technical details' section prior.
What compute platforms are available for mounted applications? As an Advanced Technology Development effort specific system/hardware resource requirements are not explicitly outlined. Also, see the 'Reference Systems for Module Development' controlled document as demonstrable compute resources can be inferred.
On Pages 4-5, the call discusses Level 1 (<3 months), Level 2 (<10 months), and Level 3 (>12 months) proposal efforts. Later on Page 5, the call says the government intends to make multiple awards with a period of performance of 18 months. Can you please clarify the desired Period of Performance that performers should propose, particularly if they are proposing a Level 1 or Level 2 effort?Period of performance for this call for white paper should not exceed 18 months. The levels of Effort and Costs outlined in the 'Anticipated Funding' section are examples and not requirements. Vendors should proposed base on their expected levels of effort for development and integration to reach the desired Technology Readiness Level.
On Page 3, the call states that technical approach should leverage the following structure: Phase 1 (reference document review and strategy development), Phase 2 (capability development, maturation, and integration), and Phase 3 (test, demonstration, and final documentation). Is the intent that Phase 1 should be the base period, with Phase 2 and Phase 3 proposed as options? Would this be the case even if a shorter Level 1 or Level 2 effort is proposed that should only take between 3 – 10 months?Phases are not necessarily indicative of contract periods. Base and Optional Period(s) of Performance described are at the discretion of the Submitter. A Module's Technology Readiness may be refined enough begin at a higher phased Technical Approach.
