About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for a wetwell level monitoring upgrade project at five collection pump stations operated by the Orange County Sanitation District in California. The project encompasses work at four pump stations—Crystal Cove (6925 E Coast Hwy, Newport Beach), MacArthur (4219 MacArthur Blvd, Newport Beach), Main Street (1499 Main St, Irvine), and Slater (7202 Slater Ave., Huntington Beach)—which involve installing new level transmitters and modifying existing pump station control systems to allow Operations and Maintenance staff to locally select which level measurement device controls the pumps. At Edinger Pump Station (5507 Edinger Ave, Huntington Beach), the work requires replacing the existing bubbler system with a new bubbler panel featuring redundant instruments and an automatic blowdown feature. The project addresses the need to upgrade aging monitoring equipment and improve operational flexibility across the five facilities.
The project scope emphasizes enhanced system reliability and redundancy, particularly at Edinger Pump Station where dual measurement capability and automated maintenance features are required. The work involves coordination across multiple pump station locations in Orange County, California, requiring contractors to manage installations at geographically dispersed facilities while maintaining operational continuity at active wastewater collection infrastructure. The modifications are designed to improve monitoring accuracy and allow operations staff greater control over which instrumentation governs pump operation at each station.
