SCOPE OF WORK/DESIGN CRITERIA

The Project will consist of roughly 40,000 square ft across three agriscience buildings, separating the species of animal. The District’s design criteria for the facilities are as follows:

The District would like all buildings to have water supplied to the pens/projects within the agriscience facilities via PEX delivery systems, rather than through static PVC piping.

Additionally, the District would like to ensure all buildings have a designated wash area for the animals and drains across the facilities to accommodate for runoff water and animal waste.

The District would like for one building to contain a central show arena that has appropriate ledging to allow for safe entry/exit, and a flooring system suitable for the installation and use of a sand surface. This building should also have pens/stalls to house cattle on one side and chickens and rabbits on the other side.

The two additional buildings would be smaller but roughly of equal size compared to each other -one building to house swine and one building to house sheep/goats.

The District would also like to utilize insulated metal panels as the exterior material for this project, similar to the District’s pre-existing agriscience facilities at Waxahachie High School.
