About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) for the procurement of a Wide Area Surveillance Package (WASP) Family of Systems. USSOCOM is conducting market research to gather information from vendors on their technical capabilities to provide a solution for the WASP system. The WASP is described as a scalable, modular, AI-enabled family of processing platforms that integrate, collate, record, store data, fuse, command and control sensors, and provide a platform for intelligence support, situational awareness, and early indications/warnings. The RFI requests that interested vendors submit a capability statement addressing the specific requirements outlined in the CUI version of the document. Responses are due by November 22, 2024, and should include company information, existing contract vehicles, and security clearance status. USSOCOM may request a demonstration of existing capabilities based on the responses received.

1.0 BACKGROUND: United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to procure Wide Area Surveillance Package (WASP) Family of Systems (FoS). WASP are scalable, modular, AI-enabled family of processing platforms that integrate, collate, record, store data, fuse, command and control (C2) sensors, and provide a platform for intelligence support, Situational Awareness (SA), and early indications/warnings. The core of the WASP system is its ability to fusion sensor and video data through a central compute hub device and digital video recorder (DVR) providing days to weeks of recorded information storage for operator retrieval and analysis. WASP are utilized in either light/medium/heavy configurations dependent upon mission requirements, operating within an open architecture with the ability to feed data between instances. The system integrates multiple sensors and cameras that provides the SOF operator capability to capture information at the tactical edge and push it to the rear echelon(s) for further dissemination. Please see CUI version for additional information.
