About this file
This document is an amendment to a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Warehouse Storage and Transport Services issued by the State of Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ). The RFQ seeks to secure storage space and delivery of items from a warehouse to the new IYC Lincoln campus as needed. The amendment clarifies the temperature range requirements, which should be maintained between 52 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit. It also provides additional details on the delivery of stored items, noting that vendors should build in a cost for up to 2 hours of on-site delivery to the various buildings at the new campus location.
The pricing structure includes a per-hour rate for moving pallets as requested and a fixed rate per occurrence for delivery of storage items. Labor is required to be paid at no less than the prevailing wage rate. The RFQ does not specify any set-asides, and there is no mention of an incumbent contractor or funding source details.

To: Klokkenga, Stephen Subject: B-34750 Warehouse Storage
The Following Questions are posted with the answers in Bold.
1) The rental space temperature is shown as S2-70 degrees. To provide such temperature control would require an air conditioned warehouse. Is this what is intended? Description of supplies and services shows temperature no less than 52 degrees but does not reference the high end.
OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO HAVE THE FURNITURE STORED AT A TEMPERATURE THAT WOULD NOT BE LOWER THAN
52 DEGREES AND NOT ANY GREATER THAN 77 DEGREES. TEMPERATURES CAN FLUCTUATE BETWEEN 52 AND
77 DEGREES.
2) Would receipt of the product be charged under Item #3 "Cost per hour for moving pallets as requested"?
YES
3) Item #4 provides for "Delivery of storage items when requested by IDJJ staff' but the rate is shown as each. Not knowing specific quantities or where inside the building product is to be delivered, it is difficult to estimate a timeframe that can be quoted per occurrence. Please elaborate.
BIDBUY ITEMS TAB HAS BEEN AMENDED. PLEASE NOTE EDITED ITEM #4 IN BIDBUY. THE NEW IYC LINCOLN
CAMPUS WILL HAVE VARIOUS BUILDINGS WHERE ITEMS WILL NEED TO BE DELIVERED. VENDORS SHOULD
BUILD IN A COST FOR TWO HOURS OF DELIVERY OF THOSE ITEMS WHILE ON SITE.
4) Should all labor be prevailing wage?
NO LOWER THAN PREVAILING WAGE.
