About this file

This document is an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by Warren Woods Public Schools in Michigan for a Door Hardware Replacement project across multiple school buildings. The project involves the removal and replacement of existing door hardware at the Warren Woods Middle School, Administration Building/Hawthorn Center, and Briarwood Elementary School. Work is expected to begin in November 2023 and be completed by June 28, 2024. Bidders are required to submit a single lump sum proposal, along with a 5% bid bond, by 2:00 PM EST on November 13, 2023. A pre-bid meeting will be held on October 25, 2023, though attendance is not mandatory. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals.

The IFB includes a $10,000 allowance, which will be returned to the owner if unused. No additional costs will be allowed for asbestos abatement, as that will be handled by the owner. The project will be awarded to a single contractor, and the work must be coordinated with the district's Facilities and Operations department to ensure the schools remain in operation during construction, which will be scheduled for the second shift.
