Service Technician, Attached is the map of Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) for locating the gates and Visitors' Centers. GPS navigators and Google maps are notoriously unreliable (on purpose) on military bases, so you will need the map. There is no visitor entrance access at the Harford Gate on Rt. 22, but you can exit through it. Visitors must enter through the Maryland Gate on Rt. 715. There you will have to enter the APG Visitors Center and obtain Visitors and vehicle passes. You will need photo identification and vehicle registration documents.
Once you get through the APG Visitors Center (and some days that place can make the DMV look speedy), then use the attached map and proceed up Maryland Blvd until it intersects with Aberdeen Blvd. Turn right on Aberdeen Blvd (it has a sweeping right turn lane at that intersection which also crosses an unmarked railroad track). Follow Aberdeen Blvd through about 4 or 5 traffic lights, past the Post Theater, the Burger King, the Fire Department Station, Police Station, and stay to the right when the road forks in front of the old stone hut. The street name will change to Colleran Road. Continue down Colleran Road to Building 324, the Aberdeen Test Center Visitors’ Center. ATC is one of many different tenants on APG. Call my work cell, 443-307-3258, when you get to the Building 324 Visitors’ Center and I will come down to will meet you there. Inside the B-324 Visitors Center you will be photographed and given an ATC Visitors’ Badge. I will then escort you behind the second security fence to perform the maintenance tasks.
Thanks, Johnathan
