Site visit question) For Cubicle T617 outside of Room 219 (only), what does CCDC want done with the removed workstation associated with reconfiguring this cubicle?

Answer: The contractor is to remove the workstation from Cubicle T617 outside of Room 219, and put in B3071 basement Room 11B using the elevator.

1) C257-C262 You are asking to add 36" panels, but it would allow only 2ft to get into the space, which does not meet ADA compliance. Zoom suggests adding 30" panels.

A1: Cubicle entrance must meet ADA requirements

2) The original fabric has been discontinued in that colorway, will you accept another color or something similar to what is existing?

A2: If it is not possible to get the existing color then something similar may be acceptable. The government must see pattern and color choices as part of the proposal. The contractor must provide samples of the proposed fabric in a size sufficient for the government to make a reasonable determination of the aesthetics.

3) Do you need (potential contractor) to included pricing for an electrician?

A3: Contractor is responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting all existing power to allow for the cubicle reconfiguration. Contractor is responsible for providing power system within cubicle for connection (plug) to existing electrical outlet in wall.

4) IT reconfigurations are normally handled by in house staff, will that be the case for this project?

A4: Contractor is responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting all existing IT connections to allow for the cubicle reconfiguration. Contractor is responsible for providing IT system within cubicle for connection (plug) to existing IT data box in wall.

Attachment 4:

1) The new dividing panels that you are asking for will not be stable. We suggest adding a 24" panel at the end for stability. Will you accept this?

A1: Contractor is responsible for assuring panels are stable. Any proposed solution must not impede access to the cubicle and must meet ADA requirements.

2) This is the same fabric situation, see above

A2: If it is not possible to get the existing color then something similar may be acceptable. The government must see pattern and color choices as part of the proposal. The contractor must provide samples of the proposed fabric in a size sufficient for the government to make a reasonable determination of the aesthetics.

Attachment 5:

1) You are saying you have an existing 36" hutch, but this is from a different manufacture, that won't hook into Teknion panels. Do you want us to quote new overheads to fit the reconfigure?

A1: The hutch the government proposes to provide is compatible with the Teknion panels. It remains from the original cubicle installation within B3071.
