Questions 1: We follow standard training to deliver to healthcare facilities and hospitals.

o No additional training will be provided. Is that an issue? Below is the training requested:

Government Response Question 1: Onsite contractor employee should know and understand requirements as pertains to all facets of linen services to include elements found in paragraph 1.2 of the PWS.

Question 2: Rental or COG

Government Response Question 2: All items listed in Exhibit B other than scrubs noted for McDonald Dental Clinic and Tignor Dental Clinic are rentals. The scrubs for the dental clinics are government owned.

Question 3: We require a key or access to all our clients for possible after hour deliveries due to holidays or severe weather. Is that a problem?

Government Response Question 3: Access to bldg. 576 is granted to on-site contractor employee – key provided for two spaces included as found in Exhibit F of the PWS as government furnished – refer to paragraph 1.14 of the PWS for inclement weather schedule.

Question 4: Can we price per piece?

Government Response Question 4: Cost Per Pound.

Question 5: We have our own normal wear and tear guidelines, an in-house quality team and 3rd party quality checks. Less than 10% of what leaves facilities could be unacceptable. Also have purple bag program. Is this acceptable?

Government Response Question 5: Requirements are provided in Exhibit E of the PWS– Linen Serviceability Standards should be followed as guidelines for acceptable linens. See PWS paragraph 5.6.1 referencing bags.

Question 6: 1 building - 1 drop & pickup?

o Steps?

o Specifics on how to enter the space.

o Parking?

Government Response Question 6: pickup of dirty &delivery of clean linens by contractor will be done at loading dock located on side of bldg. 576 McDonald Army Health Center on Heiner Street. This dock is strictly for pickup and delivery no park zone – Contractor employee will work on site occupying rooms in bldg. 576 as noted in Exhibit F. Contractor employee responsible for pickup and delivery of linens as found in paragraphs 4.3, 4.4 and 4.4.1 of PWS.

Question 7: What is meant by a 3-month phase-in?

Government Response Question 7: This is the transition period from the last three months of the current contract to the starting date of this current contract to allow ramp up time for full performance.

Question 8: Business hours 6am to 5:30pm M-F.

o However, deliveries are requested M, W & F 8am and pickup’s M, W & F 10:30am.

Can we provide the two-hour window once we coordinate with our current delivery schedule and routes?

Government Response Question 8: The times as stated in Exhibit B of the PWS are requested to allow contractor provided linen worker to have adequate time to do pickups/deliveries between 6:00am and 2:30pm. (See 4.3 of PWS) This also allows sufficient time to put away clean linens on delivery as the linen carts cannot remain in the corridors.

Question 9: We are Clean Green Certified, and it's being asked for each item to be bundled and shrink wrapped. We deliver per healthcare standards and can provide covers for clean linen shelving if needed. Is this acceptable?

Government Response Question 9: please refer to paragraph 5.8 of PWS.

Question 10: Asking for set amounts per bundle 10’s for soil bags, gowns, pants, smocks, shirts, trousers & sheets and 20’s for PC’s & HT’s and 3’s for blankets.

o Is deviation from the bundling count unacceptable?

Government Response Question 10: Items must be bundled/ separated by size for easier distribution. Please follow Exhibit A – Identification, Standard Packaging, and Method of Finish for Bulk Laundry as referenced in 5.5.10 of PWS.

Question 11: There are warm-ups on the daily distribution par levels list then Government owned scrubs are listed below that chart for McDonald Dental Clinic and Tignor Dental Clinic?

o Are these in addition to the distribution par levels?

o Embroidery? Shirts, warmups, and coats?

o Are any scrubs COG?

Government Response Question 11: All items listed in Exhibit B other than scrubs noted for McDonald Dental Clinic and Tignor Dental Clinic are rentals. The scrubs for the dental clinics are government owned. No embroidery on any textiles provided by contractor.

Question 12: Full Sheet Blue Flat & Fitted-can these be striped-white vs solid white for twin?

Government Response Question 12: No. Blue color used to be able to easily recognize the full from twin size sheets. Sleep lab has full sized beds.

Question 13: 142 Cubical Curtains throughout the facility -COG -what sizes? Will Housekeeping change qtrly, or as needed?

o Small – under 12’ o Medium – 12’-15’11 o Large – 16’+

Government Response Question 13: Housekeeping is responsible for removal and hanging of cubicle curtains. Curtains are changed quarterly or on an as needed basis. Curtains provided by contractor in small-medium and large.

Question 14: Will transportation for the laundry services be provided by your team, or is there a need for us to arrange pick-up and delivery? If so, how frequently would these services be required?

Government Response Question 14: Please refer to Section 4 of PWS Contractor Furnished Property and Services at paragraph 4.6. Also refer to Exhibit B – Pickup and Delivery Schedule.

Question 15: Understanding the nature of the contract better would also guide our proposal.

Would these services be utilized regularly or are they intended for emergency or high-volume situations?

Government Response Question 15: The linen services are as stated in PWS which states need and requirements.

Question 16: Is this a brand-new requirement or is there an incumbent?

Government Response Question 16: There is an incumbent.

Question 17: Could you please provide the previous contract number?

Government Response Question 17: For previous contract information, submit a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
