QUESTIONS & ANSWERS (31 MAY)

QUESTION 1: The 7 day a week pickup and delivery for FBCH is this a must as we operate M-Sa. We would have to run on Sunday just to process the FBCH linen. Other hospitals we supply run fine on a M-Sa schedule.

ANSWER 1: YES, DELIVERY FOR FBCH IS SEVEN (7) DAYS A WEEK, 365 DAYS A YEAR. AS STATED IN PARAGRAPH 7.15 OF THE PERFORMANCE OF WORK STATEMENT.

QUESTION 2: We close on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years as the FBCH may be open the census will probably be low and limited staff on duty. Is this negotiable?

ANSWER 2: THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE.

QUESTION 3: Is there a more in detail breakdown on how linens need to be packed in carts. Ex. Would all sheets go in a cart, towels etc. It seems a bit unclear by the PWS.

ANSWER 3: PARAGRAPH "7.17. TRANSPORTATION" SPEAKS TO SEPARATION OF ITEMS IN THE CARTS AND BY SHELVES. THERE IS NO FURTHER GUIDANCE ON PACKAGING PROVIDED BY THE CUSTOMER.

QUESTION 4: When the lab coats are hung on the hanger are they covered in plastic or are they hung in a cart and covered in plastic?

ANSWER 4: ITEMS IDENTIFIED IN "TECHNICAL EXHIBIT A, PACKING INSTRUCTIONS" AS "HANGER, EACH" SHALL BE INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED/COVERED IN PLASTIC. ADDITIONALLY, PARAGRAPH "7.17. TRANSPORTATION" INFORMS THE READER "EACH CART SHALL BE COVERED DURING TRANSPORTATION".
