About this file
This document combines a solicitation and synopsis for the lease of a mobile magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine. The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command is seeking to lease a 16-channel mobile MRI unit with a minimum specification of a 1.5 Tesla Siemens Magnetom Aera or Philips Intera/Ingenia system including a full complement of surface coils. The period of performance is a base year of 12 months from September 9, 2022 to September 8, 2023 with an option to extend an additional six months to March 8, 2024. Quotes should break out pricing for transportation from the contractor's location to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, the monthly lease cost for the base year, and transportation back to the contractor's location. The lease cost must include installation, maintenance, and repair services.

Questions and Answers
Question #1
The MRI solicitation lists a conventional coach. Would the site accept a 12x60 mobile coach? The transportable provides more space for the patients and the technologist running the equipment, but want to verify the hospital space allows for the larger coach.
Answer #1
The hospital site will not accept a 12’ x 60’ mobile coach. The coach (assuming coach is synonymous with medical trailer) will need to be much closer to 48’ x 8.5’. The PWS only makes mention of a “standard trailer”.
