“Questions from Industry”
Question 1: I was hoping to clarify the shipping location for this request? I did notice the Ship To/TAC code, but I am not familiar with what/where BMDA00 is? Would this ship directly to the end country location or will the government forward this from a CONUS location?
Answer: Vendor does not need to arrange shipment. DCMA handles that, so they do not need to understand what BMDA00. Shipment does not need to be priced, it will be arranged through the USG. “Country of Moldova”.
Does Contractor need to submit any proof or Woman Owned Small Business Status along with a bid?
Answer: IF THE CONTRACTOR WOULD LIKE TO SUBMIT EXTRA INFORMATION OR PROOF WITH THE BID THEY CAN. SOME CONTRACTORS SUBMIT JUST THE PROPOSAL AND SOME SEND EXTRA INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THERE COMPANY.
Question 2: We have been working with our Cisco engineers on this bid. As of now, they are not able to fulfil the Router CUCM based modules or the v12x licensing requested as they have all gone EOL. This will require a redesign to work with the FLEX licensing available.
Can you advise how we should proceed with that piece of the request?
Answer: FOR ITEMS THAT BECAUSE OF END-OFLIFE (EOL) WITHOUT THERE BEING ANY SUBSTITUTIONS OR REPLACEMENTS, SUBMIT STATEMENT TO THAT EFFECT IN PLACE OF A PRICED OFFER FOR THE PARTICULAR ITEM.
Also, I wanted to pass along additional feedback from our engineers:
“For the Hyperflex system, the CPU's they had on there were no longer available. We will offer a substitute. This also changed the memory SKU as the old SKU wasn't compatible with the newer processor. With the NVME card in the build, it changed the PCI riser card SKU's they had to ones that can support NVME. Finally, the VMware SKU they had in there was no longer available so we will offer the most up to date. For the AMP/Security portion, the SKU's they provided were not available any longer so we will offer the updated versions.”
Can you confirm if these adjustment will be accepted?
Answer: FOR ITEMS NO LONGER AVAILABLE BUT WITH REPLACEMENTS OR SUBSTITUTES, PLEASE OFFER THE REPLACEMENT/SUBSTITUTE, WITH A STATEMENT TO THAT EFFECT.
Question 3: Our supplier has few questions, I request you to please answer below:
We cannot fulfil the Router based CUCM modules or the v12x licensing requested as they have all gone EOL. This will require a redesign to work with the FLEX licensing available.
Customers should migrate to Enterprise Agreement or Named User Calling under Cisco Collaboration Flex Plan. The ordering guides for Flex Plan and Flex Plan 3.0 can be found at the link below:
Caution-https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/partners/tools/collaboration-ordering-guides.html
This is a commercial model change only to perpetual licenses. Customer premise deployments are available under Flex 3.0
I can proceed with building an estimate for the hardware portion of this request that is available but should be redesigned for FLEX On-Premise before moving to FLEX to ensure compatibility of gear.
Answer: PLEASE PROPOSE AN OFFER WITH THE AVAILABLE HARDWARE AND A STATEMENT THAT THE HARDWARE NEEDS TO BE REDESIGNED BEFORE MOVING TO FLEX. IF A PERPETUAL LICENSE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, THEN AN ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT FOR 3 YEARS MAY BE PROPOSED.
