1.0 Scope.
This document describes optional requirements to provide field support services for Datron radio systems owned by the Afghan National Army (ANA). Datron radios make up a majority of the communications inventory the ANA uses on a daily basis for battle space communications, command and control. The objective of this support is to provide non-personal services to augment Afghanistan operator and maintenance personnel with expertise in installation, operation and maintainance (IOM) of Datron radio systems, provide on-site training, and advise ANA regarding Datron radio system employment and operation. A further goal is to assist ANA units possessing Datron radio systems to reach Full Operational Capability (FOC) and self-sustainment with the capability to independently install, operate, maintain, and sustain all assigned Datron communications equipment, including Level I and II (Organizational and Direct) maintenance. The word Government in this document refers to the United States Government.
