About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for an Environmental Chambers solicitation issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center - Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (ERDC-CERL). The Q&A addresses two specific technical inquiries about battery testing: first, confirming no potential for battery outgassing during testing, and second, verifying that the testing protocol will not exceed EUCAR hazard level 2. The associated solicitation seeks procurement of two stackable benchtop Environmental Chambers capable of temperature control and full integration with existing ARBIN brand battery research equipment. Amendment 1, posted on 8 August 2025, reflects a revised requirement description. Potential vendors are instructed to submit offers via email to CERL-CT-Quotes@usace.army.mil, with telephone responses explicitly not accepted.
