REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
QUESTION 1: What is the purpose of the building, and will it be heated? Depending on those factors, the insulation values called out in the contract might contradict the Massachusetts State Building Code 780 CMR which is also called out.
RESPONSE 1: According to 780 CMR 25.210, combined with the allowances for metal building construction, the insulation values specifically called out for the walls and ceiling do not contradict Massachusetts State Building Code 780 CMR. The building will be an unheated space and uninhabited, intended solely for storage. Combined with being located in Climate Zone 5, the minimum R-value mandated by the state is R-13 for the walls and ceiling.
QUESTION 2: It was noted during the formal site visit that the existing electrical conduit which will be used to feed power to the storage building is not entirely connected to the main panel within the Buffumville office. How will this be addressed?
RESPONSE 2: The Statement of Work has been revised to include additional work to extend the existing 2" electric metallic tubing (EMT) conduit stub out to the main distribution panel in the project office.
Please refer to the revised Statement of Work and revised Attachments for additional information.
QUESTION 3: Would the Government be willing to provide photos & location of the existing main distribution panel?
RESPONSE 3: Please see the revised Attachments for additional photos.
W912WJ25QA0180002
