About this file

This document is a Standard Form 30 Amendment to a Solicitation for Security Fence Improvements at Hop Brook Lake in Middlebury, CT. The amendment provides responses to three contractor questions regarding fence installation requirements, specifically addressing area security during work, post and footing removal procedures, and underground utility considerations. The solicitation closing date remains April 29, 2025 at 5:00 PM Eastern, and the amendment clarifies that the contractor must keep work areas continuously secured, remove existing fence posts and footings when replacing fencing, and follow existing excavation guidelines for underground utilities.

The procurement is set aside for small businesses with NAICS code 238990 and a size standard of $19 million, with an estimated construction value between $100,000 and $250,000. The project involves removing existing chain link fencing and gates and installing new 7-foot chain link fencing with 1-foot barbed wire outriggers, multiple types of gates including personnel and vehicular gates, and requires active SAM.gov registration for all vendors. The solicitation is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - New England District.
