SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following have been added by full text:

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Question 1. Is the contract looking for a whole season lump sum amount to cover anything snow or ice during the season or an amount to provide these services when requested per storm?

Response 1. Interested vendors should submit a quote according to the Bid Schedule. For example, Tully Lake, Task 1 of the Bid Schedule, would be to provide plowing services at all locations as indicated on Figures 1-3, pages 15-18 of the solicitation. The unit of measure is Each or lump sum, to perform one full plowing service for Tully at all locations indicated.

The Service Requirements-Definition, section of the Performance Work Statement (page 11 of the solicitation), indicates the maximum number of plowing services the Government will pay for per storm size. For example, if total snowfall were 8 inches, the Government would pay for 2 plowing services. If the vendor price to provide a full plowing service of all areas were $100 (Unit price each= $100; total of 20 services anticipated for the season, total amount for Task 1 for Tully = $2,000 on Bid Schedule), the vendor would be paid $200 for plowing services for an 8 inch storm. Since the Service Requirements specify that a Contractor would be paid for 4 services for a storm over 24 inches, if storm total were 25” and unit price for each plowing service were $100, the Government would pay $400 for this storm.

NOTE: Numbers are arbitrary and in no way represent the Government esitmate or previous prices to complete services.

Question 2. Is there a map that designates what areas get the snow services during the season or is that something that can be clarified with the government representative when doing a site visit?

Response 2. Maps are provided on pages 15-20 of the solicitation.

Question 3. For ice prevention/treatment, is there a restriction as to can be used (i.e. rock salt, calcium, magnesium, sand only, sand/salt mix)?

Response 3. Please refer to page 12 of the solicitation, Service Requirements – Materials & Supplies: The Contractor shall supply a sand/salt mix. The mixture shall have a salt content of approximately 20%. The salt content shall not exceed 40%.

Question 4. Is there a form for the Abbreviated Accident Prevention Plan?

Response 4. The Government is able to provide a non-mandatory fillable form for the Abbreviated Accident Prevention Plan to the awarded Contractor. However, this is not a requirement that is to be provided in order to submit a responsive quote. The submittal requirements are only applicable after the Purchase Order is awarded.
