AMENDMENT 0003

August 19, 2020

Question 1.

Amendment #0002 states that there is a revised drawing and revised specifications attached. We are unable to locate any attachments. Please provide copies of the referenced attachments.

ANSWER 1. Amendment 1 was created to incorporate the revisions on drawing S-601 and to answer the two questions noted in the field at the day of the pre-bid site visit. The original drawing S-601 was included in Amendment 1 without the changes being carried forward. Amendment 2 aimed to include the revised plan, however it still was not attached. There were NO changes to the technical specifications prior to Amendment 3. Amendment 3 contains the correct revisions to S-601.

Question 2.

Section 05 13 00 – Paragraph 3.2.2 states that the retaining bars will be removed and replaced. Please confirm that the seal support backer bar as shown on Sheet 156 – Side Seal Assembly Detail, is to remain. If the seal support backer bar is required to be removed and replaced please confirm that the welded connection as shown on Sheet 156 – Side Seal Assembly Detail, is required for the replacement bar.

Answer 2. Welded connection is no longer required for this detail. The bolted connection will suffice.

Question 3.

Sheet 156 – Side Seal Assembly Detail, shows the end of the 5/8” stud is welded at the face of the skin plate. Please confirm that this weld will be required for the replacement studs.

Answer 3. Welded connection of the stud is no longer required for this detail.
