Repair Maintenance Electrical Interlock Connection
1. Scope.
This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the design, engineering, fabrication, installation, and construction of the replacement of the maintenance interlock receptacles in the
Maintenance facilities. It includes the associated project management, construction management, and logistic support of all labor, materials, and equipment for Barnes Air National Guard Base, Westfield, Massachusetts.
1.1 Background.
In the Fall of 2015, an aircraft maintainer attempted to connect a piece of ground equipment to the facility. However, the plug inserted incorrectly and jammed into the receptacle. The receptacles are for the purpose of connecting ground support equipment from the facility to the aircraft. In order to prevent incorrect alignment of the plug in the receptacle, this project will provide an interlocking system with a push button and indicator lights as well as an angled joy receptacle. Additionally, a placard shall accompany each receptacle on the appropriate alignment of the plugs and receptacles.
2. Requirements.
2.1. General.
The work required by this contract shall be performed in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria
(UFC) 1-200-01, General Building Requirements, UFC 3-501-01, Electrical Engineering, and the
National Electric Code (NEC).
The work consists of replacing the current receptacles with 13 NEC Class I, Division 2, NEMA 3, receptacles, which includes interlocks, push-buttons, and light indicators. Additionally, the receptacles shall be angled (45o) to allow proper viewing of the connection between the plug and receptacle by aircraft maintainers.
As noted, 10 receptacles shall be demolished, including all wiring and conduit back to the panel. As required, panels shall be relabeled.
2.2. Detailed Tasks.
See Attachment 1, Specifications.
2.3 Contractor Manpower Reporting (CMR)
The contractor shall report ALL contractor labor hours (including subcontractor labor hours) required for performance of services provided under this contract for the Army collection site. The contractor is required to completely fill in all required data fields using the following web ad-dress:
https://cmra.army.mil/.
Reporting inputs will be for the labor executed during the period of performance during each
Government fiscal year (FY), which runs October 1 through September 30. While inputs may be reported any time during the FY, all data shall be reported no later than October 31 of each calendar year. Contractors may direct questions to the help desk at https://cmra.army.mil/.
