About this file
This is a Question and Answer document from a site visit for janitorial services at the DC Armory. The document clarifies requirements for an 8-day contract period (January 15-23, 2025) covering 75,850 square feet of drill floor space and four adjacent bathrooms. Service hours are modified to 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday through Friday and 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM Saturday and Sunday.
Key details include: contractors must provide all consumables (trash liners, hand towels, soap, toilet paper, seat covers), additional disposable/recyclable trash cans, and cleaning supplies. Background checks are required for all cleaners. The facility will host events with food service (grab-and-go meals), requiring waste management. Contractors may use on-site dumpsters and will have access to parking in Lots 3 or 9. Storage space for supplies may be available pending facility manager approval. Non-U.S. citizens are permitted to work if legally authorized and able to pass background checks. Floor buffing originally specified in section 1.5.2 is no longer required.
