All of the following types of drawings are required with scale as indicated for construction of structures:

· Title sheet with Index and site plan, location plan, and scales as previously stated.

· Floor plans minimum scale 1/8" = 1'0".

· Building elevations minimum scale 1/8" = 1'0".

· Wall sections minimum scale 3/4" = 1'0".

· Building - cross section minimum scale 1/8" - 1'0".

· Building - long section minimum scale 1/8" = 1'0".

· Enlarged partial floor plans such as toilets, entrances, etc. to explain the construction.

· Stair floor plans including sections, number of risers in each flight, size or riser treads and nosing clearly spelled out.

· Detail sheets as required explaining complicated construction.

· Door schedules, window schedules and finish schedules.

· Special details shall have a scale multiplier of 1/8" = 1'0", up to 3" = 1'0", or as approved by the DCANG Base Civil Engineer.

Where sections are cut, they must be uniform and indicating section numbers, sheet number where section is cut and sheet number where section appears. This section should not be limited to a standard detail size. In showing special details, frequently it requires special sizes to show special design.

Utility Drawings shall be drawn in accordance with the following specifications:

· PLAN: The plan shall be at the top of the drawing with north pointing toward the top or left side of the drawing.

· SCALE: Scale shall be 1" = 50'.

· METHOD OF INDICATING LOCATION: Generally, sewers and manholes within streets and adjacent developed areas shall be located in plan by dimensions from property markers or other well-defined physical features. However, in areas where physical features are not available and for all interceptor sewers, coordinates of man holes and bearings based on the Maryland State Coordinate System shall be used.

· PROFILE: The profile shall be shown under the plan sheet except where block plan is used. Where block plan is used, profile shall be shown on separate sheets.

· SCALE: Scale of all profiles for ordinary sewers shall be 1" = 50' horizontal; 1" = 50' vertical. Scale of profile for interceptors shall be 1" = 50' horizontal and 1" = 5' vertical with profile and plan on same sheet. Sewer profiles on straight sheets shall be shown to correct scale. On curved streets horizontal distances between structures shall be plotted using length of street centerline between radial projections to structures. The true length between structures shall be shown by figures.

12 TITLE BLOCK SAMPLE

All title blocks on all sheets will be the same and communicate in a consistent fashion, the following information:

· Sheet Number

· Primary and Secondary Drawing Title (Primary Title indicates the category, i.e. “Partition Plan”, Secondary Title indicates specific, i.e. “Second Floor – West Wing”, etc.)

· Project Title and Address

· Drawing Scale

· Initials of Designer and Drafter or CADD Operator

· Project Number

· Submission Type and Date Issued
