About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for Solicitation W912QR26QA009, which covers Furniture Removal and Disposal Services for the Romano Mazzoli Federal Building at the USACE Louisville District Offices. Key details include a requirement for furniture removal from the first floor, with a loading dock and freight elevator available in the basement. The project is a new requirement with no incumbent contractor, and all work must be completed within 30 days of contract award. The cleaning expectations are minimal, with rooms to be left "broom clean" and no additional vacuuming or wiping down required. Potential contractors should note that the loading dock can accommodate a 40-foot trailer or box truck, but a 53-foot trailer would be difficult to maneuver. All solicitation documents are available on SAM.gov, and proposals must be submitted through the PIEE system, not via email.

Q&A – W912QR26QA009 – Furniture Removal and Disposal Services for the Romano Mazzoli Federal Building At USACE Louisville District Offices

Questions are in black font, answers from USACE are in blue font.

1. Is there an incumbent?

No there is not. This is a new requirement.

2. Who is the current contractor?

This is a new requirement. There is no current contractor.

3. What is the current contract amount?

Not Applicable.

4. If you are unable to provide the current contract amount, what is the current budget your agency has for this project?

Not Applicable.

5. Could you please confirm whether the building has a loading dock, and if we will need to use the freight elevator or any specific lift for moving the furniture out?

The building does have a loading dock and freight elevator that go to the basement, all the furniture is on the first floor.

6. Are W912QR26QA003 and W912QR26QA009 related efforts (for example, different phases or scopes of the same overall project), or are they completely separate requirements?

Separate requirements.

Not Applicable.

Not Applicable.

9. If they are related, is there anything I should adjust in my prior submission or approach for W912QR26QA003 in light of this new solicitation?

No Proposals will be accepted via email. Per the instructions, please submit through PIEE.

10. If they are related, is there anything I should adjust in my prior submission or approach for W912QR26QA003 in light of this new solicitation?

Not Applicable.

11. Regarding the above job involving furniture removal; please define 'cleaning'. Other than removing debris and tools, what are your expectations after the furniture and crew's equipment and such is also removed. The pictures I saw appear to have carpeted floors, yet the government wants a 'broom swept' cleaning. Do you want the floors vacuumed? Please expand on the expectations of cleaning.

The rooms will be left broom clean. Equipment, tools, and debris. No wiping down or running a vacuum.

12. Is there room for a semi-truck with a 58’ trailer to pull in load?

The RMFB has a loading dock located in the basement. There is room for a 40-foot trailer or box truck. Due to the limited space a 53-foot trailer would be difficult to fit into that space.

13. Were there any attachment's for the subject RFI request? The SOW seems to be 1 paragraph but doesn't mention what is to be disposed of. Are these large items? How many? There is a reference to 6 Attachments but I don't see them in the PIEE listing.

All documents are on SAM.gov under the solicitation. There are a total of Seven (7) documents that make up the solicitation.
