About this file
This is Standard Form 30 (Amendment/Modification U0002) to solicitation W912QR25Q0005 for the Nolin River Lake Office Demolition project, containing questions and answers from a February 26, 2025 site visit. The amendment clarifies that the entire building, including concrete slabs and foundations, is considered friable asbestos material requiring proper disposal. The contractor is responsible for third-party air monitoring and may treat/remediate concrete components onsite following local, state and federal regulations if they wish to dispose of them as regular construction waste. The observation deck overlooking the dam will remain and not be demolished. The contractor will not be responsible for retrieving any contaminated debris that has migrated into the lake beyond the silt fence.
The document includes two pre-bid conference sign-in sheets from February 26, 2025, showing approximately 25 representatives from various construction, environmental, and demolition companies who attended. The amendment does not extend the original response deadline. The contract is being administered by the U.S. Army Engineer District, Louisville.
