SUMMARY OF CHANGES
SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE
The following have been modified:
REQUST FOR INFORMATION
QUESTION: Can you provide any information related to the estimated, minimum, maximum, or historical quantities to be purchased?
USACE RESPONSE: No, because this is leading to monetary decisions. Please look at the lenghts and quanities on the drawings attached to the contract.
QUESTION: For line Item one, do you need this to be 20’ OAL or can we provide this in two 10’ sections per the print?
USACE RESPONSE: Please see “ADMT 0001”
QUESTION: “ASTM B148 which is sand cast and is only made in 13” increments and not even sure who can machine up to 10 ft long” Can this material for the bushings be made to size” would the parts need to be more than 13” long?
USACE RESPONSE: Please see “ADMT 0001”
QUESTION: 1st paragraph. The SOL states that the contractor shall provide “set-up assistance” without detail.
Please define “set-up assistance”.
USACE RESPONSE: Please see “ADMT 0002”
QUESTION: We will provide C954 Aluminum Bronze. However, ASTM B148 is a sand-casting process. Almost all Aluminum Bronze material provided in the US today for long dimensional bar material is a continuous cast process to ASTM-B505. The length of the requested material is too long for a sand-casting process (ASTMB148).
We request a deviation on this issue to allow for ASTM-B505 continuous-cast process. C954 Aluminum Bronze will be provided.
USACE RESPONSE: This will be an acceptable process for the aluminum bronze.
QUESTION: The Solicitation requires a 30-day delivery of products. Material vendors currently have a 10–12-week delivery requirements. We request a deviation on this issue to allow for 10–12-week delivery.
USACE RESPONSE: We will accept the 10-12 week delivery time.
