About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation W912QM25QA011, which appears to be a federal contract for linguistic services in Panama. The solicitation requires Spanish interpretation services with 4 interpreters in Panama City and 2 interpreters in Meteti, on a permanent assignment basis. Key details include acceptance of non-native speakers with ILR Level III/IV proficiency, wireless portable interpreter equipment, and the use of Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) and Machine Translation (MT) tools permitted if meeting contractual requirements.

The current incumbent contractor is Sanford Federal Inc., and the contract will be awarded using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation method. The government will provide transportation between locations, and interpreters will be escorted at all times without access cards. The pricing template covers 12 months of service, with no separate line item for interpretation equipment. The services are to be paid monthly regardless of mission cancellations, and the government will allow temporary equipment rental substitutions at the contractor's expense. Notably, the solicitation does not disclose historical contract pricing or performance details, marking them as proprietary information.
