Questions and Answers 1

1. From reading the RFP, you just need the CPT data and logs? No report?

Answer: Yes, no report is needed. CPT logs and raw CPT data are the required submittals.

2. Is there an unload/load spot on the island? If so, how steep are the slopes?

Answer: There is not a designated load/unload spot. The load/unload spot will need to be determined by the contractor. Embankment slopes vary across the site. The SOW has been amended to show photos from an USACE site visit that was performed on February 12, 2024. Please note conditions of the site could have changed since the site visit was performed due to beach erosion and other factors.

3. When is the quote due?

Answer: Quotes are due 13 March 2025 at 3PM ET per the solicitation.

4. Do we need to have someone onsite during the field operations?

Answer: No, USACE personnel will be onsite with the drilling crew, additional personnel outside the drilling crew is not needed.

5. The Figure shows hand auger locations, but the scope doesn’t mention them. Will we need to perform those?

Answer: No, hand augers will be performed by USACE staff.
