1. What will the water level be at the start of the project?
Answer 1 - The normal pool is elevation 216' (paragraph 1.2 Quote Item 2 ... of the SOW). To the extent practicable, we intend to have the pool level at or near the normal pool at the start of the work. A limited drawdown (couple of feet) is being considered to reduce the effects of lake level rise during the project, however, this has not yet been decided.
2. Should we prepare for water level changes during the project?
Answer 2 - Without rain, lake levels can be expected to gradually rise during the project due to the stoppage of normal releases. Depending on rainfall during the project, the actual lake level could rise significantly. Equipment may have to be relocated if substantial rain is received.
3. Will we be responsible for restoration of ground from laying pipe?
Answer 3 - Yes. See SOW paragraph 2.11 Completion and Acceptance.
4. You list the minimum flow but do you have a max flow?
Answer 4 - Flow in excess of the minimum flow are allowable; however, if flow in excess of 100 cfs are contemplated, additional coordination will be needed.
5. Will we need secondary containment?
Answer 5 - Onsite fuel storage will require secondary containment.
6. Can we block some of the roadways on the turn around?
Answer 6 - Partial blocking of pavement is acceptable.
7. What is the criteria for first time core bidders?
Answer 7 – Presuming the question intended is Corps. Bidders, first time quoter must be registered in SAM.gov and comply with all requirements outlined in the solicitation.
8. Can we use gravel roads for tractor trailer access?
Answer 8 - Yes.
9. Can Tractor Trailers cross the dam (weight limit) if we cannot cross the dam, do we have other access to the field?
Answer 9 - Yes, tractor trailers can cross the dam. Weight limits that apply to public roads and streets would also apply to the pavement across the top of the dam.
